I met up with my friend Alex to go check out the local fireworks shows around town. We walked down to the local park where there was a barge holding the goods for the nights show. The funny part was how packed with fireworks the sidewalk through the park was. It was basically littered with dead fireworks. So I guess there are laws that you can’t have fireworks that shoot more than 10feet or explode…I don’t actually know the rule, so just going with what I think I heard. Of course, people buy all kinds of mortars and things that go boom. I think for the park with over 1000 people there were 2 cops and 2 firemen types. At first they seemed like they were trying to bust people, but it was soon clear they really didn’t have much chance. So they mostly just walked around and tried to make people aware of their presence.
