Ya know when you hear, “This flight is overbooked, if you are willing to give up your seat we will award you a round-trip ticket anywhere we fly in the US and Mexico.” Well note to self: Book your flight as soon as you get it. I let it sit for a few many months. What they don’t tell you is that the ticket is only valid for flights that have discount seats available. After checking every location in Mexico, Alaska and Hawaii I found a flight to Boston. Which ended up working out great. I have a couple friends who live there that I’ve been meaning to visit.

Walked the Freedom Trail. Which involves following a line built into the sidewalk and street that leads you by all the historical sites in downtown Boston. Of course you can follow a guide who will tell you stories of lanterns, horse rides, and battles, but instead we followed my friend Nathan who had a much more entertaining version. “Here is a bathroom that is self cleaning and costs you a quarter”, “Here is a Dunkin’ Doughnuts, we go in and get coffee at these places”, “now we stop and buy 6 boxes of TicTacs for Evan and Erica to eat within 10 minutes”….seriously, they can throw back TicTacs like no one I have ever seen. Oh by the way. It was a long walk to freedom. Thanks to all the old historical people who did that for us.

Other than that, driving up the coast, biking hungover to breakfast, walking up before the sun to walk the dog, video game car racing, watched some Boston baseball/basketball, etc.
